Jingle all the way....

This afternoon, I shall be mostly cutting out letters in preparation for the christmas banners. Had a design change, but I think it is for the better (well at the moment it is) I'm planning on working on the original idea, but after christmas when the 'other work' rush has died down and I'll have more time.

Just need some red bells........ trip to Hobbycraft will be required in the near future (what a shame that will be)

Short and sweet today as I'm sure you don't give a toot about my sore throat anymore than I do...its just getting on my nerves now.

Completed the wedding card  that was ordered .. simple yet pretty in cream and gold.
Customer loved it so hopefully her sister (the bride) will love it too.

Also completed the wedding sampler I designed for a friend. Didn't get it finished in time for them to have it on the day, but it was ready for them when they returned from their honeymoon. My personal delivery service (mum) is taking it to Sam's workplace today. Hope she likes it. Always a slightly nervous moment..especially as I won't get to see her open it. Ah well...




Next up....the big C word... yup... CHRISTMAS!! Bring on the sparkle.. love it here at Ladybug towers ;)

Spooooky

Made 4 Halloween decorations for a friend who is completely nuts about it.. Guess they were a hit as her mum has ordered 3 cats.

I don't live my life through my phone, but its nice to have something to read on the bus to and from work.. I'm not going to get into a complete flap if I can't access my emails.. I am not a teenie who can't remember what its like to actually 'talk' to someone.. I will survive, its just that you have messed up my morning routine.. some people have a cuppa and a fag, I (as a non smoker) have a cuppa and twitter...

ooops....

I've managed to completely forget about this for the whole of September.. me bad! ;)
In my pathetic defence.. I have been busy completing a cottage cross stitch for my dad so that he could take it back home to Bulgaria after his visit last month, a get well card, and designing a wedding sampler from scratch for a friend who is getting married this weekend (almost finished stitching it).
I have also been learning to knit..something I never thought I would ever be able to master..

Next up on the list of things to do is complete an order for a merry christmas banner..first banner, so I am nervous yet excited at the same time as I want it to look really nice. I can see the finished article in my mind..felt backing and lovely christmas fabric on the front..

Of course all this crafting is wonderful..just that small matter of 'other' job getting in the way of spending all day making pretty things..

The weather is rubbish out there, I certainly don't want to go out in it.. let alone not get home while about 7.30 tonight.. I guess the sooner I move, the sooner it will be over for another day and I can go back to my happy little world of ribbon, threads, buttons, wool etc..

Pretty cards

I have been filling a few card orders I have recieved recently from a couple of the girls at work. A special 21st birthday card, baby cards and a Son 16th birthday card so far. An order for a wedding card is next on the list, but the big day isnt until November so that gives me time to sort out the design requested :)

Distractions...

Flippin' cold callers, lack of decent sleep and being patronised at my 'day' job makes this bird a cranky old crow. Roll on 4pm Friday afternoon when I can escape from hell for a whole weekend *celebrate*.. Although when I'm back into work next week is anybodys guess because as I sit here, waffling away at almost 10-45pm on Wednesday night.. I still have no idea what I'm working next week.. sodding management!!

In the mean time tho, I am going to use my time creatively and try to catch up with making my decoration samples..(tis a hard job when all you want to do is curl up and go to sleep)

Guess its time for a cuppa and then bed.. Aiming to make at least one item tomorrow morning before leaving for hell..

Best laid plans and all that..

Only managed to make one parcel.. Gorgeous red felt, stitched together with gold thread and topped off with green and gold Merry Christmas ribbon and green beads. Looks very festive indeed..(photo to follow tomorrow)

I can feel the burn of the credit card to purchase some decent size pieces of felt and more thin ribbon...this could prove painful ;)

Finally finished messing around with the layout etc... still not sure if I 100% like it. Will let it sit for a while and see how I feel about it. In the mean time, I'm going to get started on making up some Christmas decoration samples (yes....I said the 'c' word in July).. baubles, parcels and stockings this afternoon (hopefully).
I will figure out how to do the whole pictures thing later on.. *slightly scary*
